Since April of this year, Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) has finalized its latest electricity price adjustment, with an average price increase of approximately 11%. The adjustment varies by industry, with price hikes ranging from 7% to 25%, and the most notable increase affecting large electricity consumers, with adjustments between 15% and 25%. In light of the rising electricity costs, optimizing electricity usage through renewable energy generation and energy storage systems has become a critical challenge for companies undergoing energy transformation.

In response to the era of rising electricity prices, combined with the demand for green procurement within the supply chain, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) disclosure requirements, consumer and customer preferences for low-carbon solutions, as well as the impact of carbon fees and carbon taxes, Billion Watts, a subsidiary of Billion Group, hosted a seminar on March 21st in Taoyuan. The event invited industry experts from EY (Ernst & Young) Accounting Firm, NextDrive, Tasti Technology of the Tatung Group, and Billion EVC, to discuss and share insights on financial, product, technical, and inspection perspectives. The seminar explored complete “solar, charging, and storage” microgrid solutions for enterprises, focusing on ensuring stable power supply and reducing electricity costs. Nearly 300 industry professionals participated, both in-person and online, contributing to a highly successful exchange.

At the product launch event, Billion Watts, a subsidiary of Billion Group, introduced the new Giga SERIES string inverters under the Billion brand. Available in 40-60kW and 100-125kW models, these inverters have passed the national voluntary product certification (VPC) standards. Also featured was the highly popular Fusio One industrial charging and storage all-in-one unit (100kW/215kWh). Compared to traditional storage container systems, the Fusio One industrial charging and storage unit adopts a modular design, offering flexible scalability up to 500kW/1075kWh, allowing for more adaptable placement and use of space. The product has also received CNS 62619 and UL 9540A certifications.

▲ At the event, a series of MIT products and solutions for photovoltaic, energy storage, and EV charging station planning were showcased, with over 300 industry experts in attendance.

Elaine Chen, Vice President of Billion Watts, stated that in recent years, Billion Group has been actively expanding its product line in the fields of photovoltaics, energy storage, and charging station infrastructure, offering a series of MIT (Made in Taiwan) products and solutions. The company's goal is to promote power and energy planning for businesses across various sectors, focusing on the end-user side. During this product launch, a range of MIT products were unveiled, which are manufactured at Billion Group’s facilities in Longde, Yilan, and Tanzi, Taichung, ensuring strict quality control. The Giga SERIES string solar inverters have already secured an order for 9 MW, and the Fusio One commercial charging and storage systems are being supplied to island microgrid projects through partnerships. The company is also exploring two business models: electricity revenue sharing and equipment leasing, while building collaborations with companies in the tech, textile, metal, chemical, and packaging industries. These initiatives help factory owners and major electricity consumers meet renewable energy capacity requirements through the installation of renewable energy generation and energy storage systems.
