1993: Started the communication business and laid the foundation for the global business

Billion Group entered the field of communication and established a communication division, focusing on providing efficient and stable solutions with research and development of communication technology as the core. In 2004, we launched our own brand "BILLION" to expand the global information and communications market, expanding into North America, Europe, Australia and Asia, providing innovative network connectivity solutions to customers around the world. This success has laid the foundation of Billion's international brand and made "BILLION" an important force in global communication technology.

2017: Stepped into the green energy market and created photovoltaics business

With the vision of sustainable development, Billion Group invested in the establishment of Billion Watts, focusing on the development and application of renewable energy and solar photovoltaic cases. We believe that technology can change the world, so we are committed to promoting green energy technology, actively participating in the energy transition, from solar photovoltaic equipment to smart grid integration, and gradually building a low-carbon and sustainable energy map, laying a solid foundation for the future development of green energy.

2020: Invested in the energy storage industry and devoted to the key technologies of energy transition

Billion Group has fully entered the energy storage industry, set up an energy storage cabinet battery assembly factory, focused on container-type energy storage system solutions, and realized the full integration from R&D to application. Our goal is not only to expand the territory of the energy storage market, but also to solve the problem between energy storage and use through technology innovation, help customers achieve low-carbon transformation, and provide reliable support for the global energy future.

Billion Watts Technologies Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Billion Electric, proudly serves as the authorized distributor for globally renowned brands: SolarEdge and Sungrow inverters. In addition to offering inverters, Billion Watts also specializes in providing Energy Storage Systems (ESS). We have successfully developed an advanced utility-scale solar plant monitoring system called Pixel View, which incorporates AI (Artificial Intelligence) analysis. Moreover, our professional plant operation and maintenance services ensure the solar energy industry receives high-quality and cost-effective 20-year plant maintenance solutions.

Billion EV Charging

Billion EV Charging, founded in 2023, specializes in providing comprehensive community level green energy solutions for construction projects in Taiwan. The business scope includes locally developed and manufactured community owned charging station systems, photovoltaic system installations, and central energy system integration services.

VGwatt Energy Corp., operating under the brand VGwatt, has dedicated over 10 years to power technology and the solar industry.   • Billion signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Canadian energy solutions provider Shift Clean Energy (Shift) for energy storage solutions in Taiwan. (Dec.)
  • Shipment and installation of 350W mining machine power supply. (May)
  • The energy storage sites in Toucheng, Yilan (2.3MW), Longde (2.3MW), and Lize (2.5MW), operated by Billion Electric, successfully passed the on-site testing and verification of the IEC/CNS 62933-5-2 technical specification.
  • Verification Passed: Longde site (Jan) and Toucheng site (Aug) have successfully passed the Taiwan Power Company's AFC (Automatic Frequency Control) dynamic frequency modulation backup assistance service communication and execution capability test.
  • Launched the brand “BECbyBILLION”
  • Approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States of outdoor 5G NR high-performance commercial router 8231, certified for the 3.5GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).
  • Launch of the BiPAC 8207AZ - a high-speed home router that supports 5G NR+ xDSL dual-WAN and Wi-Fi 6 dual-band hotspot.

  • Introduction of 8700VAZ LTE VDSL2/ADSL2+ VoIP VPN hybrid router enabling the fulfillment of users' Triple-Play requirement.
  • Launch of LED Driver surge production 10KV series.

2017


  • Two subsidiary companies were established: "Billion Watts Technologies Co., Ltd." and "Billion Sunpower Co., Ltd." Billion Watts Technologies focuses on the research, development, and sales of string-level and module-level solar power monitoring systems. On the other hand, Billion Sunpower is dedicated to the construction and operation of solar power plants domestically and internationally.
  • Launch of LTE wireless dual-band outdoor hotspot router, which has received certification from the Telecom Provider Sprint.
  • Launch of Smart Universal IoT Gateway - SG6300NZL & SG6300NXL.
  • Billion's Smart Street Light Control and Management Solution (LCMS) received Taiwan Excellence Award.

2016


  • The LTE/M2M routers 6500AEL/MX-200/MX-1000 received certifications from the three major North American telecommunications companies: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
  • Launch of a Central Management System (CMS) that enables remote management of Billion LTE/M2M/xDSL/Fiber and other terminal devices.

2015

  • Launch of outdoor LTE router with an IP67 rating, designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and harsh outdoor environments.
  • Launch of M2M series routers, specifically designed for vertical market applications such as automotive and critical applications.
  • Installation by Telefonica Peru of 4700 BiPAC series to provide 4G/LTE in the Amazon rainforest.
  • Cooperation with Taiwanese lighting manufacturers and development of multiple smart lighting installation sites.
  • Cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, becoming the first manufacturer to install smart street light control on the Central Riverside Expressway.
