In 1993, Billion Electric established communication business division, focusing on the research and development of ISDN products, and launched the "BILLION" brand in 2004, specializing in DSL modems and network interface cards. In the same year, we officially founded BEC Technologies Inc. in the United States, and entered the North American market under the "BEC" brand, with sales channels covering the global market, including North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, etc. In order to strengthen our global brand image, we made the strategic decision in 2022 to launch the "BECbyBILLION" brand, which aims to provide customers with a more consistent and clear brand positioning.

Started from the Innovation in A Three-person Apartment | ISDN Modem Sales Took Off
In 1992, Mr. Tim Chen, the current chairman of the board of directors who had served in IBM, decided to return to Billion Electric and established communication business division to invest in the research and development and sales of ISDN communication equipment, creating a second business for the company at that time. In order to find an excellent communication team, Mr. Tim Chen found Mr. Xu-feng Zheng, the chief operating officer of Billion Electric, to start a business together.
In the initial stage of the Billion Electric Communication Business Division, they only rented an apartment in Hsinchu as a laboratory and office, and Xu-feng Zheng, the COO, and two engineers, the three of them worked day and night in the apartment to devote themselves to the research and development of ISDN communication products. At that time, the Windows operating system was innovating, and the software compatibility of ISDN communication products with PCs required a high level of techniques. With perseverance and determination, these pioneers of the Communications Division developed high-quality ISDN modem products, successfully entered the European telecommunications market, and ranked among the top three ISDN modem manufacturers in Asia. In 1997, Billion Electric's IDDN interface card was awarded first place in the communications product category by Germany's BYTE magazine, which also opened the opportunity for Billion Electric's entry into the research and development of ADSL broadband communication products.
Own Brand with Touching Service
In 2000, Billion Electric invested in the R&D and manufacturing of ADSL broadband network equipment to provide OEM services for major brand companies, but Tim Chen always had a dream in his heart, hoping that one day the communication products printed with the BILLION brand could be sold all over the world, so that this brand from Taiwan would be recognized and respected by foreigners. To this end, Mr. Tim Chen once again recruited professional brand marketing business teams of major foreign companies, set up product and marketing departments, strengthened the development of international channels, product positioning, marketing packaging and publicity, and began to sell his own brand BILLION communication products since 2004, and has cooperated with telecommunications companies around the world on many projects.
The success of Billion in entering the international market is owed not only to its exceptional and reliable product quality but also to its after-sales support. Once the customer service center of the Thai Telecom Company received a report from the user that the BILlION product failed, but the local import agent could not deal with it, so Billion Electric assigned technical support engineers to go to Thailand to the user's home to understand the situation. After inspection, It was discovered that it was a problem with the local telecommunications lines, not the malfunction of the BILLION router. This move moved the local agents. Even if it was the problem of end-user, Billion Electric also attached great importance to it, and this is something that ordinary brand manufacturers can't do. "We place a lot of emphasis on partnerships in our global market operations, and many of our clients have been touched because of this spirit. Many agents have grown from small companies in two or three people to companies with hundreds of millions of dollars in turnover together with the BILLION brand," said Tim Chen.
